Stanley Road Project: Stanley Road will be closed between BB Lane and Kathryn Loop beginning Tuesday, March 3, 2026, through Tuesday, March 10, 2026, for road widening and reconstruction work.

This closure is weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to avoid this area during the construction period and seek alternate routes.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Update on Street Projects:

Stanley Road & Dalton Road intersection will be temporarily closed for the next few hours for tree removal on Stanley Road.

The South end of Church Street will be closed until approximately Tuesday, January 13.

Please avoid both areas until the work is complete.

Stanley Road Project: Tree removal has begun. The project starts at Pine Grove and moves West toward Dalton Road in phases. Please avoid this area unless you are a resident in this area as wait times for cut-through traffic can be long.

Church Street Project: I just received word that the cross drain will be replaced tomorrow. Please avoid the area until the work has been complete or you may have a wait time to get through. This area is on the South end near Stanley Road. Work should not begin until after the morning buses end and should be complete before the afternoon buses start.

You’re invited to the 10th anniversary Christmas Parade in Stonewall, La. Following the parade we will have the largest fireworks show we ever had!!! Please come out and help us welcome Santa and Mrs. Clause to Stonewall plus possibly some other surprises!! We can’t wait to see y’all this year and kick off the Christmas Spirit with our Candyland theme for 2025!

WHO IS READY?

The 3rd Annual "Spirit of DeSoto Tree Lighting" will be taking place on Saturday, November 29th behind the Stonewall Government Plaza! A free shuttle will be available so that attendees may park at North DeSoto High School, while DPSO will transport everyone back and forth to the event! This will include loads of family fun with food, live worship music, a new and improved light show, engaging crafts for kids, and SANTA will be in attendance to take pictures under the tree! So, be sure to come out and join us on the 29th, to kick off this Christmas Season!

TREE CEREMONY: 6:30pm

Stanley Road Project: Stanley Road between Dalton Road and Kayla Drive will consist of widening the road and improving drainage. The survey has been completed. Grubbing will begin soon, weather permitting. When construction begins please avoid using Stanley Road as a cut through as there may be long wait times and use caution in this area.
