Congratulations to CVACC chamber member SMADA on the grand opening of its first storefront in Stockton! What began as a dream inspired by family has grown into an exciting new chapter for local entrepreneurship and fashion. Central State Credit Union, a proud CVACC chamber member, is inviting the community to come together for their “Strike Out Alzheimer’s” Bowling Fundraiser on Saturday, July 18th at West Lane Bowl in Stockton. Proceeds from the event will support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s while bringing families, friends, and local businesses together for an afternoon of bowling, food, and community fun. The Friends of the Fox invite the community to kick off summer with a special screening of The Goonies at the historic Bob Hope Theatre on Sunday, June 14th.

Doors open at 12:30 PM for an afternoon of nostalgia, adventure, and movie magic in one of Stockton’s most iconic theaters. Guests can enjoy concessions, including $1 popcorn, while experiencing this beloved classic on the big screen with family and friends.

What a fabulous way to end May - at the 2nd Annual Yosemite Street Village Music and Art Fest!! Local musicians, artists and food vendors gathered from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm to entertain neighbors and friends with a full schedule of local bands. Artisanal craft tables lined Umbrella Alley and led to more art displays in the Catalyst patio and gallery. Folks poured in throughout the day, experiencing the artsy vibe of Yosemite Street Village. Special thanks to Saul & Sonya Serna from the Catalyst and Chad Dorado, owner of Yosemite St Music for hosting this fun community event.

Tickets are now on sale for the 5th Annual Taste of the Mile, taking place Saturday, June 13th, in Tuxedo Court on the Miracle Mile. This year’s Boot Scootin Boogie theme will feature tastings from favorite Miracle Mile restaurants, desserts, signature cocktails, wine and spirits, live music from the Nick Elwood Band, and a silent auction under the lights. Tickets are $125 per person, with tables of 8 also available. Sponsorship opportunities are currently open for businesses interested in supporting the event and connecting with the community. Peachy's Food to Go is a local entrepreneurial success story. Their start at Stockton Community Kitchen progressed to having their own food truck! Peachy and Albert Donato's food truck and catering services are now in-demand throughout SJ County. They recently showed up at the Stockton Small Business Week Expo, serving as an inspiration to rising food startups. Catch some summer concert entertainment at Jesse's Grove Wine in Lodi starting June 12th and savor Peachy's Filipino cuisine throughout the summer. Jene Wah invites the community to its Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on Saturday, June 13 from 8am–11am at their new location on Pershing Avenue in Stockton. Guests can enjoy pancakes, ham, fruit, and coffee or tea for $20, with dine-in and takeout available. Additional donations are welcomed to help support the nonprofit multi-service and senior center. Tickets may be purchased from Jene Wah board members or onsite, though advance purchase is encouraged.
