The Rotary Club of Stockton was formed in 1914, the 92nd Rotary club to be founded. Originally, Rotarians gathered with the purpose of increasing members businesses but Rotary quickly evolved as a charitable organization to become one of the leading service organizations in the world. Stockton Rotary has a rich history in giving of its members time and money to local community projects and charities as well as supporting international projects.

Another great week at the Rotary Club of Stockton! 💙💛

📚 Sharon Tweedy and Ann Johnston Sheridan shared an exciting update on the Imagination Library and Read to Me Stockton. More than 1,000 new children in Stockton have signed up for the Imagination Library! We’re also looking forward to celebrating Dolly Parton Day on September 25 and the incredible impact of putting books into the hands of local children. 📖

🎤 We welcomed Dr. Jonni Redick, who shared about her Leadership Institute, helping young adults ages 18–35 develop the skills and confidence to excel in their careers and become strong leaders in our community.

👏 And during Boast, Toast & Roast, Kuy Ky celebrated 47 years in America with an incredible $1,000 donation. His generosity inspired 10 fellow Rotarians to each contribute $100, adding another $1,000! What a wonderful example of generosity and the Rotary spirit of giving back.

💰📊 Investing in Our Future at Stockton Rotary!

This week, the Rotary Club of Stockton welcomed Farzin Yassini, financial professional with WFG, for an informative—and entertaining—conversation about our financial futures!

Farzin walked us through different approaches to short- and long-term investing, saving for retirement, and thinking about how long we really want to keep working. He even had us pulling out our calculators and doing a little math on our own finances! 🧮💵 There was plenty of learning, a few eye-opening numbers, and lots of laughter along the way.

Thank you, Farzin, for giving us plenty to think about and making financial planning fun! 👏

Our Rotary Interact students spent their Friday giving back by cleaning up the Peace Pole at Spanos Elementary School. 🌿✨

Interact is Rotary’s youth service club for high school students, giving young people the opportunity to develop leadership skills, serve their communities, and make a positive difference.

💦 Rotary in Action! 💙💛

Delaney Mannor, Coach of the Stagg Girls Water Polo Team, recently joined us at Stockton Rotary and shared a need close to her heart. Her team of 11 girls needed swimsuits and equipment for their season.

Our Rotarians jumped right in! 🙌 Together, they donated enough to sponsor every single girl on the team! 🤽‍♀️💦

This is what Rotary is all about—coming together, supporting our local youth, and giving back to our community. We are so proud to help these young athletes get in the pool and have a great season!

Yesterday’s meeting began with a moment of silence in honor of Bishop Dwight Earl Williams, who passed away suddenly. We watched a special video of Bishop Williams sharing a Thought of the Day about the importance of staying in the present moment—a meaningful message to remember him by. 🙏

We then welcomed Joe Ashley with California Resources Corporation, who shared about the company’s 50 years of business in San Joaquin County and its work in advanced energy solutions, energy production, and manufacturing processes. ⚡️
