🎨 Get Ready for the 4th with a Custom Keepsake T-Shirt!

Calling all kids! Are you ready to show off your patriotic spirit? Join us at the library to create your very own July 4th t-shirt keepsake!

We’re providing all the supplies you need to make your shirt a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. This is a free event, but because we want to make sure everyone gets a shirt that fits, registration is required!

🌱 It Starts with a Seed! 🪴
Get ready to get your hands dirty! We are thrilled to partner with the University of Illinois Extension & 4-H for an exciting afternoon of discovery.

Join us next Wednesday, June 17th, for "It Starts with a Seed!"—a special 90-minute workshop led by Kelly Lafferty, Illinois Extension Educator for 4-H Youth Development.

What’s in store for our young sprouts?
We’ll be diving into the science and wonder of plants with a fun-packed session which may feature:

📖 Interactive storytelling

🔍 A seed scavenger hunt

🧪 A cool bean experiment

🎨 Creating your very own "Bean Book" to take home!

🌈 Exploring Big Feelings with Birth to Five Illinois!

Do you ever wonder how to help your little ones navigate those "big feelings"? Whether it’s excitement, frustration, or just feeling a little blue, we’re here to help!

We are so excited to host Storytime with Becca, a special collaborative event with Birth to Five Illinois. Join us for an engaging session all about mental health, feelings, and how we can express ourselves in healthy, happy ways.

What to expect:

📚 Heart-Centered Stories: We’ll be reading books that celebrate every kind of emotion.

💡 Parent & Caregiver Tips: Simple, actionable ways to talk about feelings at home.
