The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded portions of the area to a Moderate (Level 4 of 5) risk for severe weather with its midday update. A very volatile atmosphere will be primed for severe storms late afternoon-evening today. Large hail and tornadoes will be primary hazards especially along and south of the warm front.

Stay weather aware and multiple ways to receive warnings today!

Critical fire weather today could lead to fires exhibiting extreme fire behavior. If you are considering burning, plan to do so on a later date, as conditions are ripe for fires to quickly become uncontrollable.
