Additional information on why we received the award:
The news is even better with $21 million being transferred into the Stockbridge General Fund Budget account. As we have consistently stated, the money was never missing, it was simply sitting in the wrong city bank accounts. Why, since the money transfers in the past were never made from the correct account as they required council approval that was not sought or approved.
When the transfers are completed the city will have a projected $14-$15 million reserve fund, also additional funding for property acquisitions, and money to invest in our infrastructure, parks, Downtown revitalization and more.
