I have seen a few people asking questions about getting baby boxes in your part of the state so I thought I would post a quick review of the process.
#1. Go to shbb.org . Click on the "get a box". There is a roadmap that shows the steps to getting a baby box in your area and frequently asked questions. Make yourself familiar with the information.
#2. After you have read the information, contact [email protected]. She can send you a link to their weekly informational meetings (Wed. 4pm). This will give you an opportunity to ask additional questions you may have.
#3. Reach out to your fire chief. Set up an appointment and gauge interest. If he/ she is interested, get them in touch with [email protected]. They will discuss contracts etc.
#4. After a contract is in place, fundraising can begin.

Alright everyone, we have a supporter in Cobb County that would love to work together with some of you to bring baby boxes to your area. She is specifically interested in the Cumberland area, 285/75. Having a friend to go with when you talk to the chief, to bounce ideas off and to help strategize makes everything easier!

Today I had the privilege of Blessing Baby Box #469 / 24th in Alabama @ Russellville Station #6. Captain Jeremy Glenn and all the fire fighters were so kind and welcoming. I had a chance to meet their mayor, some city council members, pastors and supporters from the community. It was a great day and I hope that I did a good job representing all my friends at SHBB.
