We do this by providing services aimed at older adults, particularly those who desire to age in place, as well as advocating for and supporting volunteers throughout the St. Our name

Each month, we gather at Community Thread to learn from staff, a community guest, and from one another about what is going on in central Washington County.

This month, our community guest will be from the City of Stillwater, and we look forwad to the latest info on city projects and developments.

FREE & Open to ALL. No obligation to attend every month, just stop in whenever you'd like.

Right now, more older adults in our community need support than we have volunteers available to help. Through Community Thread’s Home Services program, volunteers provide essential support that help neighbors remain safe, independent, and connected to their community.

Right now, many older adults in our community need safe and reliable transportation — and volunteer drivers are urgently needed to help meet that growing need.

Through Community Thread’s Ride Services program, Volunteer Drivers provide more than just a ride. They help neighbors get to medical appointments, grocery stores, and other essential destinations while also offering something just as important: connection and care.

Could you lend a hand behind the wheel?

Join one of our Volunteer Driver Info Sessions to learn how flexible and rewarding this opportunity can be. Even a few hours of your time can make a meaningful difference for a neighbor in need.

The Minnesota Department of Human Services and the Minnesota Board on Aging have launched a statewide survey asking older adults about their daily lives, needs and experiences. Responses will help the State of Minnesota improve services and supports for older adults.

Anyone age 60 or older living in Minnesota is eligible to complete the survey. It takes about 20 minutes to complete, and answers are private and won't be linked to your name.

Community Thread is currently accepting donations for our annual Baubles, Bangles, and Bling Boutique fundraiser. We’re looking for new and gently used jewelry, handbags, and fashion accessories to help support programs, events, and activities that make a difference in our community.
