In conjunction with our Black Eyed Susan nominee, How to Eat in Space, 4th and 5th grade students created structures or vehicles that would allow them to live and work on another planet. They began by choosing and researching another planet. Next, they designed and created a model of their project. There are a lot of future engineers in our midst!

Makerspace fun has begun! Kids solve real world problems such as: designing something used to clear leaves out of your yard (a dinosaur! Who knew??), creating cards for someone they're thankful for, and building a structure the Thanksgiving turkey can hide in.
