..Strong Gusty Winds Expected Today...
Southwest winds gusting to 40 mph with a few sporadic gusts to 45
mph possible into this evening. These wind gusts combined with
relative humidity values dropping down to between 30 and 40
percent will raise the fire weather potential today to elevated.
However above normal precipitation the last two weeks will limit
the overall risk.
Be sure to secure any loose outdoor objects and use caution if
driving during this time, especially if you are driving a high
profile vehicle.
Any grass or brush fires that ignite could become difficult to
control. Exercise caution with any outdoor burning or open flames
and with the disposal of smoking materials.
