Thank you, Wisconsin! Because of you, our state is once again number one in the country for the most prescription meds collected during spring – 57,054 pounds. That's about the same weight as a fire truck, a small herd of elephants, 100 adult pigs, or 60 grand pianos.

Portage County Public Health participates in the statewide campaign to decrease youth access to to***co products and help retailers avoid fines by conducting to***co compliance checks with youth volunteers and providing education?

This year, we had an 87% compliance rate amongst all Portage County retailers! Congratulations and THANK YOU to all Portage County retailers for keeping commercial to***co/ni****ne products out of our youths hands! 🎉🚭💚

Kids don’t need alcohol to grow up. They need adults who show up. Underage drinking happens when we look away but protecting them starts when we pay attention. Because prevention works best when everyone's in. It takes a village–and when that village stands together, kids stand a chance.
