PAO and Socialist Alternative are hosting an organizing meeting for May Day 2026! A coalition of labor leaders and community organizations are now calling for a nationwide day of “No Work, No School, No Shopping” on May 1. This is the escalation we need: students demand a general strike!

ORGANIZING MEETING - APRIL 1ST - ON ZOOM

Over 1500 people hit the streets in Stevens Point today, and we were out there building for the largest possible day of action this May Day. We need all students talking to their classmates, all people talking to their coworkers, and neighbors talking to each other about how we can take the fight against Trump to the next level. We need to shut it down on May 1st, and use the momentum to build for longer and larger actions that point towards working class actions, and ultimately the beginning of a real independent, working class political party.

300 Wisconsinites showed up to tell JD Vance that he's not welcome in Wisconsin. While they were inside claiming lower costs and bigger paychecks, working class people across Wisconsin were facing the reality of the Trump administration - higher costs at the grocery store, for housing, and for healthcare, and paychecks that aren't even keeping up with inflation.

We need to keep showing up, and we need to get organized. Only we will fight for us, and only we can stand up against the attacks by the Trump administration. Learn more about joining at socialistalternative.org.

JD VANCE IS NOT WELCOME IN WISCONSIN

The State of the Union tried to gaslight us into thinking the economy is roaring, that immigrants are our enemies, and that we need to go to war. Working class people know that these are all lies: the economy continues to get worse for us, immigrants are our neighbors, and the only winner in wars are the billionaires.

We must stand against this, join your community in protest! 10 am to 12 pm at Pointe Precision.

Park on residential streets around Pointe Precision, or near St. Brons to carpool to the protest. Bring signs and warm clothes. St. Brons is not affiliated with this protest.

Since last year, Socialist Alternative has been consistently pointing towards the necessity of strike action and for the labor movement to step decisively into the ring in the fight against Trump. Strike action is powerful because it shuts down business as usual and hits Trump and his billionaire friends where it hurts: their profits.

The movement across the country needs to take its cues from the struggle in Minneapolis. We need to build for a strike nationwide that can shut down this murderous regime and its terror against our communities.
