What's on the agenda this weekend? FIESTA PARADE!

Come out on Saturday, September 19 at 1:00 p.m. for the Fiesta Parade, starting in Rock Falls and ending in Sterling. The parade will begin at the intersection of 1st Ave and 5th St in Rock Falls (near Jimmy Johns).

Today was such a special day full of farm tours that wrapped up with a lovely meal created by the Whiteside Area Career Center culinary arts students. We are honored to have partnered with U of I Extension Carroll-Lee-Whiteside Unit and WACC for Sauk Valley Grown!
We are grateful for Chef Joe and the WACC students for cooking, and the farmers that provided food for the event. Thank you to all of the wonderful locations that allowed us to visit and experience their operations including JL Acres, ROOTS Market, The Hohlen Homestead, S & J Hobby Farm, All Good Things Lavender, and Whiteside Area Career Center. Thank you to Lauren's Flowers for the awesome "build your own bouqet" bar. A big thank you to our generous sponsors for supporting the event: Grennan Farms, Sauk Valley Bank and Sterling Federal Bank. Lastly, thank you to members of the SVACC Agriculture Advancement Committee for organizing and putting the finishing touches on the event!

We had the opportunity to see Kurt and Brian Properties' newest living spaces at Haymarket Apartments. These newly renovated apartments are beautiful and breathing new life into a space that hasn't been utilized in quite some time. It's wonderful to see the additional apartments in downtown Sterling!
