My heart is overflowing with gratitude for all the work leading up to and through today’s event, especially the work setting up and breaking down the picnic at the City Park Pavilion. Nancy and Sue, in particular were super, but thanks also go to Carilyn, Jen, Brigitte and family, Margaret, Jim, Brannon (hope you feel better!), Judith, and of course Marco and family (best chefs in Erath). The Executive Team (Pat and Margurite) were brilliant, along with the cross-effort of the Activism Committee (who led our effort to have about 25 demonstrators on the Square) and workers (especially Deb and Kay, with David, Jill, Leslie, Gene, Marilyn, Tanya, Larry, Melissa, Dan, Holly, Peyton, Linda, Francis, Essential, Kris, Jackson, Stephanie and family, and our friends from Hill County and others from Hood, Tarrant, and Eastland Counties). We loved welcoming fellow county chairs Heather (and Sara), Suzanne, Thom, and Adrienne. We loved hearing from Dione Sims (with husband Robert), Andrew Turner (with his family), Thom Hanson (with his grandson), Mirian Spencer Morrison (with Blaine), John DeLorme, and Marco Moreno (American Underground). We loved welcoming our neighbors close by (Birdie and Chopstick, Karen, Brianna) and even across the aisle. We loved catching up with friends like Vivian, Julie, Virginia, and new friends like Ruby and Diandra! Because of you all (and those I failed to mention—just let me know and I’ll add them), we are making a positive difference. I love you and thank you all. 💙
