Steelville City Dog Pound

Steelville City Dog Pound Mission Steelville City Dog Pound is City Facility. Providing a safe environment for dogs awaiting Unless authorized by the Chief of Police.

Steelville City Dog Pound provides a safe environment for dogs awaiting adoption. Steelville Animal Control handles all calls within the City limits only. All dogs are given appropriate care while they wait for their permanent homes. Always make sure your pet is on a leash at all times inside Steelville City limits and has ID at all times, such as a collar with the name and current phone number, a

nd rabies tag, and please consider micro-chipping. If you are a resident of Steelville your dog must have UTD Rabies vaccination and be registered with the City of Steelville. Our goal is to try and keep an empty shelter so every dog can find their way back to their owner or find that fur-ever home. We try to give every dog brought to our facility a chance to be reunited with its companion or a new life at a fur-ever home. We work with other facilities to also make that happen. Take the opportunity to consider adopting a pet, remember to have your pet ID on at all times, chipped. Our primary goal is to essentially keep an empty shelter and make sure they are a fitting addition to a fur-ever family.
