Election Day is coming and I'm asking for your support!

When I first moved to Steelton back in 2009, I didn't see myself as a community leader, I just wanted to help the community and show my kids how to serve. After my children started school at Steel-High, I became an active parent in the school district which set my path to School Board Director and then Borough Council.

I like to be behind the scenes just doing the work. My satisfaction comes in planning and seeing projects through. I believe in team work and transparency and I try my hardest to respect everyone's position, even if I don't agree with it.

Over the past eight years, I have seen the highs and lows of putting your name on the ballot. Our Borough is facing challenges-businesses (large and small) having to shut down, increased violence, increase in rents/decrease in safe and affordable housing and decrease in a variety of resources....and this is why the work must go on.

With that, this past year has been very trying for various reasons and I was not going to put my name on the ballot because I thought it might be time for new blood. But after much thought, I realized I have been a part of many projects that I would love to see to their completion and I want to be a part of the plan for the future of Steelton.

Over the next four years, I want to specifically see our Borough:
*Attract a grocery store with produce and meat selections
*Increase the number of small businesses
*Improve resources to our families, youth and seniors
*Update old codes dealing with housing and quality of life
*Clean up blight and figure out what to do with the empty buildings
*Improve public safety - decreased violence and increased services from our first responders

With this vision in mind, I ask for your vote on November 4th for Steelton Borough Council. I will continue to do the work for the Borough that will take us into the future.
