3/1/26 at 1:05 pm a large fire was discovered off State road D. Units arrived to find approx 200 acres of woodland on fire with multiple structures endangered. Fire lines were created and the area was contained at 3:45 pm. Units remained on scene until 5:15 pm to ensure no further spread. No structures were reported damaged.

Multiple agencies were called for assistance. We want to thank all agencies for providing assistance.

Staged cries for help echoed the halls of South Callaway High School on Monday as volunteers joined law enforcement for an active threat training exercise.
