Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer travel in Colorado — and this year, roads to the high country may be busier than usual. With lower snowpack and earlier access to mountain roads and trails, CDOT is expecting heavier traffic throughout the weekend.

If you’re heading out:
🚗 Travel early or later in the evening to avoid peak congestion
📱 Check road conditions and alerts before you go
🔥 Be aware of fire restrictions and help prevent wildfires
🚌 Consider transit options like Bustang to skip the drive

For live road conditions, cameras, closures, and travel updates, visit COtrip.org or use the COtrip Planner app before hitting the road.

Wherever your weekend takes you, plan ahead, slow down, and travel safely.
