YVHA Executive Director Position is Open!

This is an outstanding opportunity for a forward-thinking, strategic leader to shape local affordable housing development and programs at a pivotal moment of growth and change across the Western Slope. The incoming Executive Director (ED) will leverage successful ongoing projects and initiatives, bringing together diverse perspectives to create a shared vision of what affordable housing can mean for Yampa Valley and lead a community-wide collaborative effort on a generational, multi-decade opportunity presented by the Slate Creek project. A successful candidate will bring a genuine commitment to YVHA’s mission, sound technical judgment, and exceptional communication skills to guide the organization through its next phase of growth, operational excellence, and community impact.

9/2 YVHA partnership properties update in the Steamboat Pilot & Today this morning:

"Barnes said the properties have a different look and feel, both in the interiors and exteriors, and that it looked like “people were proud to live there.” He thanked representatives from both Mission Rock, Overland and the housing authority for their efforts in improving conditions. “I’m proud to say that they’re an asset to the community of Steamboat — much different than they were six months ago,” said Barnes.

Muntean said that city officials have not heard negative complaints from residents since the implementation of the action plan. “Six months ago, we were getting a number of emails,” said Muntean. “Now, we don’t get any.”
