Six days after the D-Day landing, the five Allied landing groups, made up of some 330,000 troops, link up in Normandy to form a single solid front across northwestern France.

Here is an interesting story in the news about a Routt County Veteran, Gerry Boggs, who was murdered in the early 90s. The woman who was found guilty was Jill Coit. She was sentenced to LIfe Without Parole, plus 48 years. She is asking Governor Polis for clemency.

Veteran Rafting Camp is June 29-July 3.

Veterans Mountain Biking Camp is Aug. 18-21.

Veteran Women's Retreat is Aug. 24-28.

A Veteran Fly Fishing Camp in September is full.

It was on this day in history, June 5, 1944, that more than 1,000 British bombers dropped 5,000 tons of bombs on German gun batteries placed at the Normandy assault area, while 3,000 Allied ships crossed the English Channel in preparation for the invasion of Normandy. The Allies were preparing for D-Day.
