Reminder to SNAP recipients: You can use your SNAP benefits at select farmers markets around Colorado — and many of those purchases are also eligible for the Double Up Food Bucks program, which doubles the value of SNAP benefits spent on healthy fruits and vegetables. Kinship care reduces trauma by keeping kids connected to family, culture, and their community. In August 2026, there were approximately 1,870 Colorado children and youth in foster care who were living with a kinship caregiver.
