🌿 FREE Little Habitat Kits are opening soon!

Beginning Monday, Marion SWCD will begin accepting applications for Little Habitat (Community)Kits designed to help community spaces create habitat for pollinators, birds, and other wildlife.

Each kit includes 30 native plants representing 10 Willamette Valley species selected to support habitat connectivity and biodiversity across Marion County.

These kits are intended for community-oriented sites such as:

🏫 Schools
📚 Libraries
⛪ Places of Worship
🌻 Community Gardens
🏘️ Housing Complexes
👧 Boys & Girls Clubs
🚒 Fire Stations
🌳 Other community gathering spaces

Get outside and connect with your community this June! 🌿☀️

Marion SWCD is excited to participate in two free, family-friendly events focused on our local waterways, natural resources, and community services.

Join us on:

~June 13 – Our River Celebration
Minto-Brown Island Park, Go to Parking Lot #3 by the Pavillion | 10 AM–1 PM

Explore hands-on activities, meet local organizations, and learn about salmon, water quality, native plants, and watershed stewardship at this fun event for all ages.

~June 17 – Keizer Public Works Day
Keizer Rapids Park | 10 AM–2 PM

Discover the people, projects, and infrastructure that help keep our communities running. Enjoy educational exhibits, interactive activities, games, and more.

Both events are free and open to the public.
