What an honor to have a student recognized at the Illinois State Capitol!

The Illinois House of Representatives passed a House Resolution, HR 0882, sponsored by Representative Wayne A. Rosenthal, congratulating Molly on her National FFA Proficiency award and continued success.

The resolution states, “Molly McCalla’s accomplishments highlight the critical role of youth leadership in advancing agricultural innovation, sustainability, and stewardship, which are essential to Illinois’ multibillion-dollar agricultural economy.”

Molly, way to LEAD, CHALLENGE, and ACHIEVE!

Yesterday SCUSD #6 recognized our outstanding retiring educators, as well as those that have achieved specific benchmarks of service. Bulldog Business Club members Emily Eldred and Kayce Meyers were the winners of this year's stock market challenge. They returned over 20% in just eight months with their picks of NVIDIA, Apple, Microsoft, and Rocket Lab. They received Chick-fil-A gift cards as their prize. Congrats!

Our Class of 2026 has left their mark! They were allowed to sign a wall. They can take pictores in front of it at graduation and their names will go down with the building as the last graduating class to walk these hallways. Our 2 retiring teachers, Mr. Redfern and Mrs. Johnston also signed the wall.

Staunton School District families, we encourage you to join students and families across the nation by walking, biking, or rolling to school. 🚶‍♂️🚲

This event is a fun way to promote healthy habits, reduce traffic around our schools, and celebrate the importance of safe routes to school. Let’s show our Bulldog & Terrier pride and make May 6th a great day to get moving together! ❤️🖤
