What a tremendous two days with First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk, VA!! Nine homes received loving care from 33 volunteers working with Renewing Homes of Greater Augusta! You all went ABOVE and BEYOND for these homeowners!

Here is the other one of two projects that Renewing Homes of Greater Augusta volunteers worked on today. These projects were both a part of our First Saturday volunteer program where we have a project for volunteers to sign up for every first Saturday of each month. Thanks to Jim, Dawn, Betsy, Michael, Bob, Glen, Bruce, and Rew. These folks work hard today installing a new storm door, a new window, weatherizing two doors, and repairing a soft subfloor in a home.

Thanks to these folks from Holy Cross Presbyterian Church in Staunton for helping to make this deck and stairs safer for one of our homeowners. These folks leveled the deck using a jack and installed blocking under the posts to secure it all in place. They helped cut and install one new stringer and then re-installed the treads and handrails. The deck and stairs are now solid and safe for many more years to come.

Thanks to Jason, Brad, and Mark from Covenant Brethren Church in Mt Solon. They worked hard last Saturday to remove a leaking jacuzzi tub, tear up rotting subfloor, and replace the subfloor in a mobile home. Next, will be the bathtub install and new vinyl flooring.
