There are fifteen new bestsellers, 21 new movies, one new audiobook, one new music CD, 28 new children's books, and 68 other new books, including nine that are available online.

The new bestsellers this week include "The Disappearers," "The Knave and the Moon," and "Agrippa." The new movies this week include "Disclosure Day," "The Sheep Detectives," and "Epic: Elvis Presley in Concert."

We will be closed on Mon., Sept. 7 and will return to our normal schedule on Tues., Sept. 8. The outdoor book drop will be open for returns, and digital books and other online resources are available 24/7 on our website.

Let’s check out five new titles from our Young Adult collection!

“A Prince Among Pirates” by Katie Abdou – A funny, romantic, swashbuckling tale of a runaway royal who accidentally ends up on a ship full of rogues.

“Alex, By Proxy” by Karen Myna Cantor – After suffering medical abuse at the hands of his mother, Alex creates a podcast to tell his story in this true crime-inspired mystery.

“Everything Comes Back to You” by Jackie Khalilieh – Over four years of high school, autistic teen Lennon falls for an older boy who her traditional parents would not approve of.

“To Dance the Moon and Stars” by Tasia Ms & Barbara Perez Marquez – A romantasy graphic novel about a high priestess and the crown prince she loves in a world where dancing is forbidden.

Join us this Tuesday, September 1 from 6-8 p.m. for an unforgettable evening with award-winning journalist Nancy E. Lynch.

Inspired by Kristin Hannah’s best seller, The Women, a fictional account of Army nurse Frankie McGrath’s experiences in war-torn Vietnam, journalist Nancy E. Lynch reads and discusses actual correspondence she received from REAL Delaware women in Vietnam.

Delaware military nurses wrote to Ms. Lynch’s award-winning newspaper column, Nancy’s Vietnam Mailbag, a popular read from 1968 to 1972 in The Morning News, then a statewide paper. And a special civilian “Donut Dolly” visited her newspaper office in 1970 to share her experiences.

Ms. Lynch included these women’s letters, among the nearly 900 she received from Delaware troops in Vietnam, in her acclaimed book, Vietnam Mailbag, Voices From the War: 1968-1972. She has since gifted these war letters to Delaware Public Archives for their preservation.
