In the age of AI... here are some handwritten advertisements.

Today I gave my horticulture students paper, pencils, colored pencils, and one job: make an advertisement for our Fall Mum Sale.

These are three of my favorites.

So, as advertised by the students themselves...

9" mums are $12 each and available in Yellow, Orange, White, Purple, Red, and Pink.

Orders and payment are due September 15. Pickup will be September 24 at South Iredell High School.

We are SO excited to announce our 1st Annual South Iredell FFA Barrel Bash, presented by Turkey Foot Ranch, on Saturday, October 10th!

This event is more than just a barrel race — it is a fundraiser to help our FFA members with the cost of attending National FFA Convention! 💙💛

If you are interested in competing, check out our event post

🍿 And you definitely DO NOT have to own a horse or barrel race to come! Bring the family and spend the day with us! We’ll have concessions, snow cones, fresh popcorn, drinks, a 50/50 raffle & more!

🙋‍♀️ FFA MEMBERS — WANT TO HELP PAY YOUR WAY TO CONVENTION?

If you are planning to attend National FFA Convention and would like to work the Barrel Bash to help with your convention costs, please reach out to Ms. Ball! We will need plenty of help throughout the day, and this is a great opportunity to work toward helping cover your trip!

Looking back on our busy summer, it truly was an incredible time at the first ever South Iredell FFA Car show! There was a little bit of everything-beautiful cars, trucks, and plenty of unique vehicles. Just a few of the cars that came out are in the photos above and hopefully we will see those same cars next year.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, supported the event, and helped make it possible. Also, a special thank you to anyone that donated a canned food item to Feed NC. We had over 600 cans donated! Most importantly we want to give a massive shoutout to all of our awesome sponsors. Without their support none of this would have been possible!
