I've thought about a flyer a certain County Commissioner has made and is circulating. He claims to take a bold stance against developers and for that reason developers are coming after him. I’m guessing he believes he'll play off of people's feelings over facts.

The group that distributed the flyer appears unrelated to development. They seem to be a strong conservative, capitalist group that believes in the Republican Party values.

Why would a group with conservative values go after certain candidates?

Likely because they aren't seeing conservative values represented by them.

Why blame developers?

Could they be looking for a scapegoat for all their failures?

There are many people directly related to development in Iredell County.

Developers only develop where there's a demand to do so.

Developers create a lot of tax dollars in Iredell County.

Developers bring industry that pays lots of salaries to Iredell County.

Many Construction jobs, and materials sold in Iredell County are used in development.

Iredell Economic Development has worked hard to draw and develop businesses that pay huge sums of tax revenue.

Republicans believe in Personal Freedom with Personal Responsibility.

We believe in Private Property Owners Rights.

There's still time to speak up.

It's long past time to get this abundant taxation and spending under control.

Vote Today or on March 3rd in the Primary Election.

Isn't it somewhat scary that the incumbent Iredell County Commissioners are thinking socialism is a better option than capitalism? They have said when tax revenue from the proposed Data Center becomes available they would look at purchasing farmland with it.
That is straight out of Socialist policy. The government having control over assets is the beginning stages of that exact act.
Any person with the thought of limiting or controlling the rights the taxpayers of Iredell County should not hold elected office.
You shouldn't complain if you don't vote!
Use your right to be heard.

How many STUDIES have the Iredell County Taxpayers paid for over the last few years? What does the Very High Paid staff do other than finding people to do studies?
What does a 343.8 million dollar budget buy? We would know if Iredell County complied with NCGS
The 2015 North Carolina budget introduced significant transparency mandates, primarily through Section 7.17 of Session Law 2015-241, requiring a central State Budget Transparency Website (NC OpenBook) for searchable, downloadable agency spending data (including vendor payments) by April 1, 2016, and requiring local governments to post their budget/expenditure data online. It also amended statutes (like G.S. 143C-5-3) to enhance budget accountability by adding new reporting requirements, defining "continuation budget," and ensuring more detailed fiscal analysis in appropriations acts.
Relevant General Statutes (Amended/Created)
G.S. 143C-2-5: Established the NC OpenBook website for state spending on grants and contracts, requiring agency links on their homepages.
G.S. 143C-5-3: Amended to focus on accountability and transparency, adding specific information requirements to the budget act.
G.S. 132-11 (Added by Senate Bill 633): Required all agencies with websites to post contact info, meeting notices/agendas/minutes, public records request procedures, annual budgets, and permit application procedures.

The 2018-2019 Iredell County Budget was
$205,122,119.
The 2025-2026 County Budget is $343,847,360.
That's a whopping
$138,725,241 additional spending in seven years!!
The Iredell County Commissioners are currently working on the 2026-2027 Budget. They won't vote on it until after the March Primary Elections. Can you guess how much more they're going to spend?
What are their values and principles? Not much when you're spending other people's money!!

In Iredell County we need some serious changes in our current County Commissioners.
Many things will be shared over the next couple months prior to the March Primary Election.
Everyone's tax bill increased dramatically and boy they've enjoyed spending our money. What benefits have you seen from the extra you've been forced to pay?
Many in upper management of the County don't even live in the County. Some that have been hired have some very questionable things in their past and the one's elected to oversee this only turn a blind eye. It's time to change direction. This will be the opportunity to elect a majority to make a correction in the direction Bert Connolly, Brad Stroud and Scottie Brown have allowed us to travel.
Much will be shared about the current Commissioners not fulfilling their duties. Let's not sit idly by and watch the continued lack of concern for the Taxpayers of Iredell County.

Why does the Iredell County Commissioners and the Iredell Statesville School Board members not follow this law?
Are they all ashamed of where they spend the taxpayers money?
Filing for election is in December.
It's definitely time for transparency or change. Maybe both!
Law written in 2015 still not followed.

Statesville, Troutman and and Mooresville Municipal Elections early voting starts October 16th.
