We ♥️ Crider Foods! Yummy healthy foods made handy for busy families. Thank you for being part of the Statesboro Food Bank family.

Some grocery trips are planned.
Some are “Just need to grab something easy.” trips. 😅

That’s where shelf stable pouches come in.

Easy to grab. Easy to store. Easy to turn into quick lunches, simple dinners, and protein-packed snacks without adding extra stress to the day.

Convenience never looked so good. 🔥

We at The Food Bank are facing an invisible disaster. No, you haven't missed a hurricane, a sudden government shutdown, or other catastrophe.

The crisis is the weight of everyday life.

We are consistently serving between 900 families per week, and the numbers continue to rise. Friday, 181 families, Saturday, 120 families before noon, Monday, 174 families, Tuesday, 175 families...

In the Sunshine Café, volunteers scrambled to serve an unprecedented 109 people on Monday! A full 25% of those were children under age 12.

We are providing a basic necessity – food – to those who are struggling: mamas with young children, grandparents raising grandchildren, elderly adults, veterans in wheelchairs, daddies with worries etched on their faces, and the homeless with their vacant stares of despair.

We haven't yet run out of food, but without help from the community, we will.

"Mom, the food is here!" yells the four year old running toward me. He grabs a gallon of milk, hugs it to himself and staggers, grinning, back to his mom.
With happy shouts, five children gather at the van to carry more than they should into the tumbledown rural home. One child turns with joy and says simply, "Apples" as he carries his big bag of fruit into the house.
The mom nods gratefully with a shy smile at me. Without transportation or child care, this rural mom of six in Emanuel County cannot work or even shop. She relies on help from the The Food Bank, Inc. to feed everyone.
Her husband has a full time job at a small factory, but has to rely on friends to get to and from work.
Thirty seven percent (37%) of rural Georgians live in abject poverty. These are our often silent, suffering neighbors.
The Food Bank, Inc. is their safety net. Your gifts help us to help them.
