Does food deserts worry you? Why doesn’t Statesboro have more Community gardens?

I started a garden years ago as it was a pet project but soon realized how much I could grow here in the Southeast. You can garden year-round!

Food disparity exists in Statesboro. We need to tackle it head-on and bring our resources together to create a place for people to be able to grow their own food,

It is not only about food but a life skill. Many apartment complexes can also participate and create an awesome communal project for their residents to have and enjoy.

Resources are available through Georgia Southern as well as local nurseries.
