Today, we are highlighting NYS Senator Andrew J. Lanza, who has spent his career fiercely defending Staten Island. A former prosecutor, son of a NYPD Detective, and now Deputy Minority Leader of the New York State Senate, he understands what it takes to keep our streets safe. While Albany Democrats pushed disastrous “cashless bail” policies, Sen. Lanza has led the fight to repeal them, demanding we restore judicial discretion and put dangerous, repeat offenders behind bars.

He is the legislator who delivered historic toll relief for Staten Islanders on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and authored the landmark I-STOP law to combat prescription drug abuse and help fight the opioid epidemic that has taken far too much from our community.

From cracking down on overdevelopment and preserving our suburban character to standing up for safer streets, a lower cost of living, and a better quality of life, Sen. Lanza will stay tough on the issues that matter to Staten Island families.

Today, we are highlighting Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, who has fiercely defended Staten Island. She has prioritized making life more affordable here - quadrupling the SALT deduction, delivering No Tax On Tips, and effectively eliminating federal taxes on Social Security for most seniors.

When a blatantly partisan Democratic attempt was made to dilute the voices of Staten Island voters by redrawing the district lines into Manhattan, Rep. Malliotakis fought back all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court—and won. She also successfully led the lawsuit to stop non-citizen voting in NYC municipal elections.

Nicole Malliotakis has consistently been a strong supporter of the NYPD and a vocal advocate for full funding of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund and WTC Healthcare Program.

Candidate Spotlight: Glenn Yost for Civil Court - Glenn Yost has defined his entire career through public service. Beginning as an NYPD officer at age 20, he rose to Detective First Grade - one of the youngest in department history - and courageously aided evacuation efforts on September 11, 2001. After retiring from law enforcement, Glenn earned his law degree, founded his own legal practice representing more than 2,000 local families, and served for over a decade as legal counsel to NYS Senator Andrew J. Lanza.

Staten Island is fortunate to have some incredibly good and dedicated public servants, and Thomas Fahmy is one of them. He is a truly kind and genuine person, a valued member of our Republican Party County Committee, and a great member of Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis' staff. We join Thomas in thanking God that he is safe following such a scary incident, and are thankful to the community members and first responders who stepped up to help him.
