What grieving friends often need isn’t advice or solutions. They need presence. A text that says, “I’m thinking of you.” A meal dropped off at the door. Someone who remembers to check in months later when everyone else has moved on.

The support that matters most is often the simplest:
• Show up.
• Listen.
• Don’t try to fix it.
• Keep showing up after the funeral.
• Say their loved one's name and share memories.

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and neither should our compassion.
