Tue - Sep 15, 2026 @545 AM EDT: After a very chilly start to today with river valley fog in Central and Northern PA, a ridge of high pressure will bring another day of comfortable temperatures and low humidity. Temperatures and moisture will increase Wednesday and Thursday with a high likelihood of showers and scattered thunderstorms in most places Wednesday night and Thursday as a cold front drifts slowly Southeast through the state.

Good morning! Heavy showers will press eastward across PA this AM, with lingering showers and pockets of sunshine expected in the afternoon.

A cold front may bring gusty thundershowers over NW PA this evening, with thundershowers tapering off as the front moves across the rest of PA overnight.

Fall-like weather is in store for Monday, with milder air returning across the region during the remainder of the work week.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in place for our western counties until 4 a.m. tomorrow morning. Some storms are forecasted to have rainfall rates of 1.5 to 2.5 inches per hour with 3 to 4 inch totals possible in some areas. Most of the area is under a slight risk (15%) for flash flooding.

Sat - Sep 12, 2026 @ 1 PM EDT: A very slow moving trough will combine with an area of increasingly unstable air in the initially sunny skies across Southwestern PA, to create an expanding area of heavy showers and thunderstorms later this afternoon through the much of tonight. The heaviest rain (locally as much as 2 to 4 inches) will likely fall across portions of the Laurel Highlands and Northwest Mountains of PA.
