When philanthropy and financial expertise come together, the possibilities for our community grow.

Yesterday, Centre Foundation brought together local professional advisors to strengthen the partnerships that can help individuals and families turn their financial and charitable goals into meaningful impact right here in Centre County.

Professional advisors play an important role in connecting clients with charitable opportunities that reflect what matters to them. By working together, we can expand the reach of local philanthropy, support the nonprofits doing critical work, and help more charitable dollars stay at work in our community.

Flood damage from the recent storms? Help is available.

Crisis Relief and Recovery (CRR), a State College-based nonprofit, is helping local homeowners recover from recent storms. Residents can request volunteer assistance with debris removal, wet drywall and flooring, mold prevention, tarping, yard debris and other storm-related cleanup.

The request form takes about three minutes, and no account is required. If a volunteer team is available, they’ll contact you directly.

DID YOU KNOW? The Campbell Society was established in 1994 to honor Judge R. Paul Campbell, whose vision helped launch Centre Foundation.

Today, Campbell Society members continue that legacy by including Centre Foundation in their estate plans, creating future gifts that will benefit Centre County for generations.

Look What Centre Inspires Built!

One grant. $100,000. An idea big enough to change a community. That's what Centre Inspires funds, and so many Centre Inspires former grantees are the proof. Each gave Centre County something it didn't have before: a place, a program, a possibility. In honor of our 45th anniversary, another $100,000 is on the table this year! We are very excited to announce the 2026 recipient this fall!

The Makerspace at The Rivet was one of the Foundation's most successful Centre Inspires grantees! When Discovery Space moved to North Atherton Street in 2017, the building came with a 5,000-square-foot garage that sat empty. The organization could only afford part of the building, and the landlord agreed to give them time before deciding what to do with the rest. It had no ceiling, no heat, and no clear purpose. Congratulations to Rediscover State College and the Highlands Civic Association on a wonderful neighborhood gathering at East Fairmount Park!

With support from a fund at Centre Foundation, neighbors old and new came together for a summer barbecue, great food, Italian ice, a water balloon toss, and a chance to connect and enjoy their neighborhood park.

We’re proud to support efforts that bring people together and help strengthen connections across our community. Congratulations to Rediscover State College and everyone who helped make the evening such a success!

Yesterday, we brought together community and journalism leaders to talk about the future of local news across our region.

Joy Vincent-Killian, Press Forward PA Wilds Director at Centre Foundation, led the conversation, sharing what she learned from communities across the region through a year of listening and research. She was joined by David Lieb, Centre Foundation; Marisa Kwiatkowski, Knight Foundation; Caroline Merenda, Press Forward; and Fiona Morgan, Branchhead Consulting.
