Tomorrow, we come together as a community to honor the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

25 years have passed, but their stories have not faded. Their families still remember. Their brothers and sisters in the fire service still remember. And tomorrow, we have the opportunity to show that we remember 25 years have passed, but their stories have not faded. Their families still remember. Their brothers and sisters in the fire service still remember. And tomorrow, we have the opportunity to show that we remember .

We climb 110 stories and 2,200+ steps in their honor. We can never truly understand what they faced that day, but we can take those steps in their memory and carry their legacy forward.

Every step is a tribute. Every name is a reminder. Every climb is a promise that they will never be forgotten.

Please arrive early to get checked in, pick up your shirt, and get ready. The event will begin at 8:30 AM with a brief welcome and Presentation of the Colors.

The members of the Starkweather Volunteer Fire Department continue to extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Ian Michael Lee Iverson.

Our department stands beside the Iverson family, Ian’s friends and classmates, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss. During this incredibly difficult time, we ask our community to continue surrounding them with compassion, strength, prayers, and support.

In a small community, we face difficult times together. Please continue to look out for one another and keep Ian’s family and loved ones close in your thoughts.

The Starkweather Volunteer Fire Department extends our sincere condolences to Ian’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Today we were out with Ramsey Couthy Sheriff and the Ramsey County Emergency Manager surveying some of the damage in our area. Althought the water is starting to go down, there are several roads that are washed out and several more that have severe damage. Please use extreme caution when travelling the area.

The Starkweather Fire Department is always looking for volunteers for the fire department and emergency medical services. No experience needed, just a willingness to serve, learn, and help your neighbors when they need it most.

Happy Father’s Day from the Starkweather Volunteer Fire Department!

Today, we want to recognize the dads who answer the call—often leaving family dinners, celebrations, and precious moments at home to help neighbors in need during an emergency.

Thank you for your selfless service, your sacrifice, and for setting a powerful example of what it means to be a father: putting others before yourself, serving your community, and leading with courage and compassion.

We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the families behind our firefighters. Thank you for supporting your dads, husbands, sons, and grandfathers as they serve our community. Your understanding, patience, and sacrifice make their service possible.

To all the fathers and father figures in our community, we hope you enjoy a well-deserved day surrounded by those you love.

Lake Region Ambulance Service conveys deepest condolences to the Belcourt Rural Fire Department following the loss of Jayton Slater. Our hearts are heavy, and we continue to hold his family and department in our thoughts.

It’s National EMS Week, a time to celebrate the dedication and courage of all EMS personnel.

Did you know the Starkweather Fire Department doesn’t only respond to fire calls? Our volunteers also respond to medical emergencies affecting you, your family, and our community. We’re here at a moment’s notice when help is needed.
