We had the absolute pleasure of hosting not one, but TWO groundbreakings for our next homeowners, Tyerria and Kenya! 🏡✨

“I cannot wait to create new memories and spend time in a new environment with the people that matter most,” said Bryant, a mental health therapist at an elementary school in Macon. Now, she's ready to put sweat equity into her home. 💪

Starkville Police Corporal Kenya Bibbs’ also broke ground on her future home! Anyone who knows Kenya knows she is a community hero. She has a heart of gold and is fully dedicated to caring for our community here in Starkville/Oktibbeha County. Thank you so much for your service! ❤

Two Starkville residents will have a new place to call home thanks to Mississippi State and Habitat for Humanity. ❤️

Starkville native Tyerria Bryant will unlock the door to her new home this spring as the recipient of Mississippi State’s 18th Maroon Edition Habitat for Humanity home. Alongside the Maroon Edition residence, Habitat celebrated the groundbreaking for Starkville Police Officer Kenya Bibbs’ future home as part of the 2026 Collegiate Challenge House.

Welcome home, Chiquita! 🏡✨

We had the honor of dedicating Chiquita's home to her and her family last week! This home represents a new chapter filled with strength, stability, and hope. This was all made possible through the generosity of our donors, the hard work of our volunteers, and the determination of Chiquita. Thank you to everyone who helped make her dream a reality.

🐾 Thank you so much to Mississippi State University, as this is our 17th Maroon Edition home! Each year, MSU partners with us to provide funding and volunteer work, and we are so grateful to them. Thank you to Dr. Regina Hyatt, Vice President of Student Affairs, for joining us on such a special day. Thank you so much for your continued support for nearly 20 years!

🪡 Thank you so much to Dot Livingston for creating this gorgeous quilt made of volunteers' t-shirts who worked on the home. Dot generously donates her time and talents to create a beautiful quilt for the family to enjoy. Thank you so much, Dot, for your incredible work year after year!

Congratulations to our Volunteer of the Year, Annemarie! 🎉

For the past two years, Annemarie has been a dedicated and hardworking volunteer with us. She is always eager to lend a hand whenever and wherever needed. Whether that be on the construction site, in the warehouse, or at the ReStore. As a senior biomedical engineering major, she is the President of MSU's Engineers Without Borders. This past spring break, Annemarie, along with her peers, traveled to Caserio Pamac, Guatemala, working to replace the community’s medical facility with a more modern one designed to serve over 130 local families. We are so appreciative of you, Annemarie! Thank you so much, and congratulations! 🏡
