๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ WE WILL NEVER FORGET โ€” 25 YEARS LATER ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Today, our community came together to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and especially the brave first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away.

Our Bradford County 9/11 Memorial Stair Walk, led by our Bradford County Fire Chief Ben Carter and joined by firefighters, first responders, community members, and supporters, was a powerful reminder that 25 years later, we still remember. We still honor. And we will never forget.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, walked, cheered, volunteered, donated, or simply came out to show their support. Thank you to our elected officials from both the City and County who joined us in honoring this important day.

A very special thank you to Madison Street Baptist Church for sponsoring and providing the brunch afterward for our first responders. What a wonderful way to serve those who spend their lives serving all of us.

This is what makes our community so special. We show up. We remember together. We support one another. And we make sure the sacrifices of September 11th are never forgotten.

2,977 lives lost. Countless lives forever changed. One nation that promised to NEVER FORGET. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Thank you, City of Starke - Government ,Bradford County, for another meaningful community event and for continuing to honor our heroes.

May God bless our first responders, may God bless our community, and may God bless the United States of America. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ DO YOU REMEMBER WHERE YOU WERE? โ€” 25 YEARS LATER ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Do you remember where you were when you first heard the news on September 11, 2001?

I do.

For so many of us, it is one of those moments in life when time seemed to stand still. We watched in disbelief, prayed for people we had never met, cried for families we didn't know, and witnessed unimaginable acts of courage from ordinary people who became heroes.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

Today, as your City Clerk for the City of Starke, I ask our community to pause and remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the families who have carried that loss every single day since.

I am especially proud of the way our Bradford County community continues to honor their memory. Our 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is more than an event. Every step climbed represents a life, a sacrifice, a family and a promise that we will never forget.

To our firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, dispatchers, military members and first responders โ€” thank you. When others are running away from danger, you are the ones willing to run toward it. We should never take that courage for granted.

And perhaps one of the greatest things we can remember from the days following September 11th is how America came together. There were no strangers. Neighbors helped neighbors. Flags flew from homes and businesses. Churches filled with prayer. We hugged our families a little tighter. We were simply Americans standing together. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

Twenty-five years have passed, but our responsibility to remember has not.

Honor the fallen.
Remember the heroes.
Pray for their families.
Thank a first responder.
Teach the generations who weren't here to witness it.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ September 11, 2001 โ€” We remember. We honor. We will NEVER forget. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

With remembrance and gratitude,

Come out this Monday night and play Bingo to support Communities In Schools of Bradford County! Grateful for our sponsor The Fold This month..

Through Communities In Schools and Take Stock in Children, we are proud to help support students on their journey toward graduationโ€”and we are especially proud of the 100% graduation rate of the students in the program! ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ‘

Thatโ€™s what community support can do. Every Bingo card, every person who attends, and every dollar raised helps us continue investing in Bradford Countyโ€™s kids.

We are always incredibly grateful for a community that shows up and supports our students.

โค๏ธ Come have some fun.
๐ŸŽ“ Support scholarships.

Everybody get up and cheer โ€” and make sure youโ€™re WEARING RED TODAY to support our Bradford Tornadoes! โค๏ธ๐Ÿฉถ

I absolutely LOVE seeing our Bradford cheerleaders and football players visiting the elementary school and showing our younger students what Tornado Pride is all about. What better influence for our future BIG TORNADOES than seeing the athletes they look up to showing their school spirit! ๐ŸŒช๏ธ

Thatโ€™s what makes our community so special โ€” SMALL TOWN, BIG PRIDE! โค๏ธ๐Ÿฉถ

As we travel to Macclenny tonight, bring your enthusiasm, bring your Tornado spirit, and most importantly, BRING YOUR VOICE! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Letโ€™s fill those stands with RED & GRAY and let them hear us!
