This is a message on behalf of the City of Lawtey.

To: All residents of Lawtey that are the water system

On June 12, 2026, there was a main break on US 301. We are working to repair the line.

As a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative bottled water may be used.

The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the satisfactory completion of the bacteriological survey showing that the water is safe to drink. You will be contacted as soon as we receive notice from the lab that the samples have cleared.

Sorry for any inconvenience.
If you have any questions, please call city of Lawtey at 904-782-3454

Lisa Harley
City Clerk
