🚌 MN law has changed regarding school bus stop-arm violations.

Drivers must now stop at least 20 feet from a school bus when its red lights are flashing, even if the stop-arm is not extended or is not working.

Please slow down, pay attention, and give our kids plenty of room. Drive safe and stop for the bus! 🚌

The Starbuck City Office will be CLOSED on Monday, 9/07, for the Labor Day Holiday. Garbage Pickup Day is delayed this week due to the holiday and will be picked up on FRIDAY, 9/11.

The City of Starbuck is accepting letters of interest to fill a vacancy on the Starbuck Planning & Zoning Commission. Letters will be accepted until filled. A letter of interest may be hand delivered to City Hall or mailed to the City of Starbuck at P.O. Box 606. Please include your full name, address, telephone number, and a brief statement regarding your interest in joining the Planning & Zoning Commission. The Planning & Zoning Committee reviews land use ordinances, performs property checks for compliance, and plays a vital role in shaping the city's future in a thoughtful and balanced manner.

Candidates must be residents of Starbuck, that live within the city limits, and be at least 18 years of age on the date of appointment.

There will be a Starbuck City Election on November 3, 2026, for the purpose of electing two City Council Members for four-year terms and one Mayor for a two-year term. The first day to file an Affidavit of Candidacy is July 14, 2026, and the last day to file is July 28, 2026, no later than 5:00 p.m. Affidavits of Candidacy may be filed at Starbuck City Hall, 307 East 5th Street, Starbuck, MN 56381.
