The Officers of the Starbuck Police Department are not the sole guardians of law and order in our community. All citizens of this community should be observant and willing to report criminal activity and su

spicious behavior immediately. As stakeholders we are all responsible for paying attention to the problems that challenge every one of us on a daily basis. We must work together in partnership to successfully deal with these challenges in order to keep the Starbuck community safe and secure. Three others are employed on a part time intermittent basis. These officers serve a population of approximately 1,300. They patrol the community, respond to calls for service, investigate criminal activity, and assist ambulance and fire departments. Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center is bringing the adventure to Kids Safety Camp. Last year they learned how to use a compass.

Kids Safety Camp Spotlight!

Glacial Ridge Health System EMS is joining us at Kids Safety Camp to give students an exciting, hands on look at how emergency responders keep our community safe.
Their team brings real world experience, calm confidence and a kid friendly approach that helps young learners understand safety without fear.
Kids will learn how to call 911 - what to say, when to call, and how dispatchers help, they will get to explore equipment, tools, and how EMS crews use them, first aid basics - bandaging, staying calm, and helping until grownups arrive, Safety smarts - recognize emergencies, avoiding hazards, and making safe choices.

GRHS EMS responds to emergencies across our county every day! Their work teaches kids that: helpers are always nearby, staying calm makes a big difference, safety skills can save lives and anyone at any age can be a hero!

We are grateful to the GHRS EMS team for sharing their time, expertise, and heart with our community's kids. Their dedication helps build confidence, knowledge, and lifelong safety habits.
