As temperatures rise, more people will be heading to the river. Today our crews trained on water rescue techniques. Even experienced swimmers can become overwhelmed by fast-moving currents and cold water conditions.

Just a reminder that the Boise River through Star and Middleton is not maintained. There are many hazards in the river not visible and extremely dangerous. Please exercise caution when recreating around bodies of water.

Wear a life jacket and never underestimate the power of moving water!
