Hello all. It is with much sadness, but also excitement, that I announce that I am moving on from the Star Cemetery as its sexton. I have enjoyed my few years here and getting to meet many of you. Despite being 41°, rainy and very windy (saw a few umbrellas unfold inside out🤣), we still had a great presentation and attendance. We were blessed to hear the touching story of a daughter's 30 year quest to learn the story of her father and the circumstances surrounding his death while serving in Vietnam. The Legion post played Taps and honored our Country's fallen warriors with a 21 gun salute. We also had bagpipes to round it all out. It was a beautiful day in not so beautiful weather. I love our country. I love our freedoms. May we always stand with those who fight, fought, and died to defend

At 10 am on Memorial Day, we will have a presentation here at your Star Cemetery.
Mayor Chadwick will present, followed by a military tribute by American Legion Post 39 of Middleton. We love this tradition and invite all to attend rain or shine.

I'd love to give a shout out to the Star Idaho Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Relief Society and their families) for their great service and effort here at your Star Cemetery. Their generous labor contribution has greatly elevated the appearance of our pretty little hometown cemetery. I'd also like to add Kevin Bundy to thank you list. He spends regular time here volunteering and is a great help in keeping us looking good. Thank you all for your care. 😃

My apologies for the lateness of this info. We will be having a presentation by our Star City mayor, Mayor Chadwick, followed by raising of the Flags by the American Legion at 10:00 am. In Memorium to those who fought to create and preserve this Great Nation as well as all of our progenitors. All are welcome to join. As the Sexton at Star Cemetery, I have sought to discover our most senior resident. So far, that burial date is 1873. (That's right, 148 years ago) CHALLENGE!!! Can you discover one that is older?

We strive to keep our little country cemetery beautiful and well manicured. We offer contemporary amenities while seeking to keep our pioneer legacy alive and well.
