The wildfire danger across the state is now at the HIGH level! Lincoln County along with just about the entire state is under a burn ban still, with no relief in sight! PLEASE DO NOT BURN!!

A burn ban means NO OUTDOOR BURNING. It only takes one tiny ember from a small fire to ignite dry grass, brush, or timberβ€”and that small fire can quickly become a large wildfire, putting homes, property, and lives in danger.

The temperatures are extremely dangerous, the ground and vegetation are very dry, and unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be any significant moisture headed our way anytime soon.

Please take the burn ban seriously and do not burn until the ban has been lifted.

Your neighbors, your community, our firefighters, and forestry personnel will greatly appreciate you doing your part to help prevent a wildfire. πŸš’πŸ”₯

One small fire isn’t worth risking an entire community. Stay safe.
