Are you curious what your police department does to make the City of Lake Stevens a great place to live and work? If so, sign up for the 2026 Citizens’ Academy! This is a free, 9-week course starting on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

A background check is required for all participants. The deadline to apply is September 15, 2026. Classes are held at the Lake Stevens Police Department Training Center located at 1825 South Lake Stevens Road.

Tender 60 headed East yesterday to the Garred Rd Fire with Firefighter/Paramedic Jake Kelly and seasonal Firefighter Sam Ecker.

Fire is estimated at 3,370 acres.

The crews from the last deployment have returned safe.

These firefighters are answering the call to assist with wildfire suppression efforts, bringing their training, experience, and dedication to support communities impacted by this incident.
