A little different kind of food distribution happening around here! 🐷🥬

The Food Bank receives so much amazing fresh produce from our community partners. However, we do also get items that are not fit to distribute to our customers, and we don’t want that food to go to waste.

These local pigs were happy to help us out by enjoying some of the produce that wasn't usable for humans.

We’re grateful for every donation that comes through our doors and love finding ways to make sure it’s put to good use. 💚

Earlier this year, a flat portion of our Thrift Store's roof sprang a leak after heavy rain. While patching the leak, Allen Roofing noticed a shingled section that badly needed replacement and generously donated the time and materials to make the repairs. Check out these before and after photos of their great work! 🧡🙌🏻

We often say it takes a village to do this work, and this is another example. The funds we would have used to replace this portion can now go right back into the community. Thank you for your support, Allen Roofing!

Join A Simple Gesture, our convenient food donation program that makes giving back as easy as your regular grocery trip. Best of all, we pick up donations right from your doorstep once every other month, just six times a year!

How it works:

🛍️ Get your green donation bag
🥫 Fill it with pantry staples and personal care items as you shop
📱 We'll send a pickup reminder
🏡 Leave it on your doorstep
🚗 Our volunteers will take it from there

We wanted to take a moment to share our gratitude for being part of last Saturday's Pride celebration 🌈

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, snapped a photo, connected with our volunteers and staff, and helped make the day so memorable!

Events like Pride remind us how important it is to create spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and respected.

At the Stanwood-Camano Food Bank, we believe everyone deserves access to food, support, and a welcoming place to turn when they need it. We're proud to serve our diverse community, and our doors are always open to all!

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone who attended for making the celebration so special. We're grateful to have shared in such a joyful day and look forward to continuing to serve and support our community throughout the year!

🍓🌱Opening Day at the Stanwood Farmers Market!

We're so thankful for the warm welcome and excited for another wonderful market season ahead. A big shoutout to the Stanwood Farmers Market, vendors, and everyone who came out to make opening day such a success!

What a joy it was to spend the day connecting with neighbors, meeting new friends, seeing familiar faces, and sharing more about what we do here at the Food Bank.
