A level 3 of 5 (Enhanced) risk for severe storms will be seen this afternoon/evening. The primary severe risks look to be damaging wind and isolated tornadoes but large hail cannot be ruled out. Storms will be moving at highway speeds so there will be less time than normal to seek shelter as storms approach.

Before the drenching rains later this week, dry air in place and gusty winds will keep the fire risk across the region elevated through Tuesday. Use caution when operating outdoor equipment and delay any burnings, if possible.
