As repopulation continues in parts of the City of Stanton, you may notice an increased law enforcement presence at intersections and throughout neighborhoods. Our deputies are committed to helping residents return home safely and ensuring the repopulation process is as smooth as possible. They will also continue providing extra patrols in evacuated areas to help safeguard homes and property while those communities remain under evacuation orders. Our goal is to make this transition as safe and seamless as possible and we thank the community for its continued patience.

Despite the Garden Grove chemical leak incident, our deputies responded to a call for service outside the evacuation zone regarding a subject who brandished a weapon before fleeing into a residence. Deputies quickly established a perimeter while announcements were made requesting the subject exit the location safely.

One subject ultimately exited the residence and was safely taken into custody without incident. During a protective sweep of the residence, deputies located multiple real and replica fi****ms.

Great teamwork by our outstanding deputies, K9 team, and air support units who assisted in bringing this incident to a safe resolution. πŸš”πŸΎπŸš
