Law enforcement body-worn ballistic vests have a recommended service life of approximately five years before they must be retired from duty. Over time, this can leave agencies with a surplus of expired vests that require proper disposal.

We would like to thank Blaine Cash and his team at Recycle Management, for their assistance in ensuring these retired ballistic vests were properly destroyed and disposed of. Their support helps prevent outdated protective equipment from being misused while allowing us to maintain responsible equipment management practices.

We appreciate their partnership and commitment to helping keep our community safe.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our partners at the Page County Emergency Communications Center and Page County Department of Social Services for the thoughtful gifts and kindness shown to our officers.

We are truly grateful for the strong partnerships we share and for the opportunity to serve alongside such dedicated professionals each day. Acts of support and encouragement like these are a reminder of how fortunate we are to work in a community filled with caring and compassionate people.

We would also like to thank the members of our community who sent cards, stopped by to visit, or simply took a moment to share kind words during Police Week. Your support makes a tremendous impact on what we do and serves as a reminder of why we are proud to serve the Town of Stanley each and every day. 💙

Please use caution while traveling through town. Our Public Works crew and community volunteers are working hard to install Veteran banners throughout town in honor of those who have served our country.

We ask motorists to remain alert, slow down, and help us keep everyone safe while this important project is completed. We appreciate the dedication of everyone involved in recognizing our veterans.

During National Police Week, the Stanley Police Department proudly honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities and our nation. We especially remember Officer Dominic “Nick” Winum and all fallen officers whose courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our community and the families who stand beside our officers every day. Your encouragement, understanding, and sacrifice make it possible for us to continue serving the Town of Stanley with pride and commitment.

Please join us this week in remembering the fallen, supporting those who continue to serve, and keeping their families in your thoughts and prayers.

🚓 Stanley Police Department here… cruising into your feed 😎 🚓

We are pumped for the Cruise-In this Saturday! Seriously — we love seeing all those beautiful classic cars, hotrods, and rides that make you say “they don’t make ’em like that anymore.”

Now… quick friendly reminder from your local blue-light enthusiasts:

We can’t admire those sweet rides if they’re going sideways in a cloud of tire smoke 😅
We get it.
That little voice kicks in…
“Just one burnout…”
“Just a little gas…”
“Everyone will love this…”

🚨 Plot twist: everyone will NOT love this… especially when the blue lights come on and suddenly YOU become the main event.
And trust us — nobody comes to a cruise-in to watch a traffic stop.

So here’s the deal:
✔️ Cruise the town
✔️ Show off those rides
✔️ Eat some good food
✔️ Enjoy the music
✔️ Wave at us (we’ll wave back 👋)
❌ Don’t turn it into Fast & Furious: Stanley Drift
❌ Don’t test your 0–60
❌ Don’t make us put down our hotdog to come chat with you

Let’s keep it safe, fun, and burnout-free so everyone (including us) can enjoy the night.
Because we’d much rather be watching your cars… than writing about them 📝😉

See y’all out there!

Today, the Stanley Police Department was honored to stand alongside Stanley Volunteer Fire Department and the family and friends of Firefighter Patrick Sandford, during his Celebration of Life.

We are truly grateful to have been included in such a meaningful tribute to a man who gave so much of himself to others. Patrick’s compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to his community left a lasting impact that will never be forgotten. His ability to bring people together, to lift others up, and to serve with both strength and heart is a legacy that will continue to live on throughout our town.

We extend our sincere thanks to his family and to Company 24 for allowing us to be part of honoring his life today. Patrick’s impact on our community is something we will always be grateful for and will forever cherish.
