A weak system will drop into the region late tonight into the day on Saturday, bringing an increased chance for showers and storms across southern Indiana and central Kentucky. Showers and storms will be scattered, and tomorrow should not be a washout, with extended breaks between rain chances likely. Some strong storms with gusty winds and hail will be possible, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Heavy rainfall rates in storms may also lead to ponding of water on roads and in ditches, but flooding is unlikely given ongoing drought conditions.
