📢 PUBLIC NOTICE: SENIOR CENTER RENOVATION PROJECT

Great news for the City of Stamps! Today, September 16, 2026, we held the pre-construction conference for the City of Stamps Senior Center Renovation Project.

Representatives from EJES Engineering and Architecture, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District, DRM Construction, city leadership, and project partners attended.

The Notice to Proceed was issued today. Construction is scheduled to begin October 19, 2026, with completion expected on or before July 15, 2027.

This approximately $520,000 investment will provide our seniors with a safer and improved center.

A special thank-you to Helga Johnson, who worked alongside the Mayor Stacie Mitchell-Gweah and Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District to resubmit the grant application in 2023–2024. Your hard work helped make this project possible!

We are building a better Stamps—one project at a time!
