π¨ BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED π¨
The City of Stamps is pleased to announce that the Arkansas Department of Health has officially lifted the Boil Water Notice for all Stamps Waterworks customers effective June 1, 2026.
Water samples collected on May 30 and May 31 tested free of bacterial contamination, and satisfactory disinfectant levels have been established throughout the distribution system. The water is now considered SAFE for drinking, cooking, ice making, and all normal household use.
We appreciate the patience, cooperation, and understanding of our residents during this precautionary boil water event.
The City would like to extend a special thank you to our new Public Works Supervisor Tyler Edenburn for his leadership, quick response, and dedication in helping resolve the issue and restore normal operations safely and efficiently.
We also want to thank Studio 71860 for providing real-time reporting and helping keep the community informed with breaking updates throughout this event. Their efforts ensured timely information reached residents when it mattered most.
Additionally, we are grateful to our city staff, council members, county officials, community partners, businesses, churches, and residents who helped spread the word through phone calls, text messages, emails, social media posts, Facebook Lives, and good old-fashioned word of mouth. Your willingness to look out for your neighbors demonstrates the strength of our community.
This response was truly a community-wide effort, and we thank everyone who played a role in helping protect public health and keep residents informed.
Thank you for working together to keep Stamps safe.
