On September 14, law professor and author Michael Pollack is stopping by to discuss Sidewalk Nation, a fascinating look at how property, zoning, tax, and land-use decisions shape the places we call home.

Yesterday, Harry Bennett Branch Library Assistant Seve Orozco was honored by the Stamford Police Department CT for his quick response during an emergency.

We’re incredibly proud of Seve, who courageously jumped into action when a colleague suffered a cardiac emergency at work. Seve used a defibrillator to provide life-saving assistance, taking decisive action when every moment mattered. His quick thinking and compassion remind us that the people who make up the Ferguson Library care for one another in ways that extend far beyond the walls of our libraries.
